It has become standard practice in the renewable energy industry to charge $500.00 and up (plus expenses in some cases) for an estimate, site survey, savings analysis, feasibility study, etc.

Charging for estimates does several things that are bad for the customer and for the industry. First of all, it limits competition in the marketplace. Are potential customers going to spend the money to get two or three estimates? We don't think so. Secondly, because many people are just not willing to pay for an estimate, this practice may discourage potential users from exploring renewable energy options. This is not good for our business or the planet!

We would never pay for an estimate, why should you?

During our decades in the construction business, we have NEVER charged for an estimate and we will not start now. Preparing estimates is just a cost of doing business.

To keep our time and travel costs down and help save our planet’s limited oil resources, we have developed, what we believe to be, one of the best systems for getting you a FREE initial estimate, quickly and accurately. We have designed an Estimate Worksheet for you to fill out before we visit your site. We will provide this form via email, fax, and can also mail it to those without Internet access. This process will take a little more doing on your part (measuring, reviewing utility bills, approximating the height of structures, etc.) but it’s better than spending $500 to find out your project is not cost effective.

Upon receipt of your completed Estimate Worksheet, a Harness Nature renewable energy expert will give you a call to go over your submission. After we have gathered all the pertinent data, we will create a FREE initial estimate and have it to you in a few days.

What exactly is an ESTIMATE?

It’s just that…an estimate to give you an idea of the costs involved. If you like the way the estimate looks and you want to proceed with the project, we will visit your site and perform a more detailed survey to confirm that our estimate is indeed a good number, or if it needs to be adjusted up or down. After our site visit you will be presented with a formal price proposal for Harness Nature to complete the work. This proposal will be a rock solid number so you know upfront exactly what your costs are going to be.

This whole process costs you nothing…it’s totally FREE. Its just part of our commitment to offering you the best customer service available.
