Make a Difference, Help Save the Earth

This Earth is a very special place. It's the only beautiful, blue, green planet we know about. It has been this way for thousands of years, but it is changing for the worse, due to man.

Global warming? Some still say it's all bunk, but the facts point directly to our climate changing rapidly. If we don't act now, it will be too late. We all want our kids and grandkids to have an Earth that is able to support abundant life.

As much as we would like to think that our Government(s) may take care of us, and the planet, it is difficult to see that happening.

We, the people, must continue our grassroots movement, taking things into our own hands and reducing our dependence on all those fossil fuels that are ruining our atmosphere.

93 million miles from here is more energy than humankind will ever need. A nuclear furnace that will continue to run for free for another 5 Billion Years with an output of 386 Billion Billon Megawatts. That is not a typo. 386 Billion Billion Megawatts. Now, not all of that energy hits the Earth, but much more energy than we can use does hit the Earth.

Thee Sun already provides most of our planets energy. In fact, the Sun provides more energy to the earth in 60 seconds, than are provided by fossil fuels in one year. It takes the Sun's light and heat energy, which is born deep in the core of the sun one million years just to reach the surface.

After that million year journey, it takes the Sun's light 8 minutes to travel to Earth.

The Sun heats and lights our World. Without the heat and light, our planet would be lifeless.

The light is what drives plant growth and also provides the energy used by solar panels to make electricity.

The heat from the sun warms the earth and passive solar systems. This same heat drives the weather on our planet, creating wind that can be harnessed to make electricity.

That same weather creates the earth's fresh water, which we depend upon for drinking, irrigation, and hydroelectric power.

We need to Harness the energy that Nature already provides.
